HOW MUCH DO YOU PAY YOUR BABYSITTER? CBS2’s Don Schwenneker is under the impression that you can pay a sitter $2 per hour, per kid. That may work in Pittsburgh, but it’s unlikely here. Most of you said you’re paying upwards of $10 per hour. One mom said her 13 year old has more money in her savings than she does!
CONCERT FOR A CURE…Lisa Dent takes a hiatus from her vacation tomorrow night to host the Concert for a Cure starring Robbie Fulks, Hoss, The Gaddis Girls and Noah Gabriel. Proceeds will benefit the Paul Ruby foundation for Parkinson’s Research. For ticket information on tomorrow night’s show, go to www.paulrubyfoundation.org

Lisa & Ray's Everyday Heroes:
Officer's Matthew George and Jeff Faison rescued two drowning victims from Lake Michigan.
What started as a late night swim turned into a dramatic rescue early Sunday after Evanston police pulled two distressed swimmers to safety from the choppy water of Lake Michigan, authorities said.
"I was yelling for help," Jeffrey Greenberg, 44, of West Dundee said Monday. "Someone coming to get us is the only way we're alive today."-Read the full story

Mr. Bean Returns Part 1 Thanks to Dean for calling me at the station to report a Mr. Bean sighting and Kim for keeping him occupied with apples until I arrived! Lauren is a champion pig wrestler! She helped wrangle Bean into a crate for a safe return to the farm! I couldn't have done it without all of the "horse girls" Laura, Maggie, Katie, Emily and Christy!
Keith Anderson …says the tapeworm story freaked him out too! What didn’t freak him out was shopping with Ray when he was in town recently! Look for Keith when he does his “make up” show next month at Joe’s Bar!
Pat Green …we heard Pat had an incident with a beer can this weekend outside of Detroit. Seems a fan wanted to throw him a can, however he didn’t see it coming and it cracked him in the head in the middle of Wave on wave. Not to worry, no stitches were necessary and he’s going to be just fine! He sends his love to everyone in Chicago!
Pig Lady …we spoke with Doris, who is the hog calling champion from this year’s Illinois State Fair, despite the fact that she didn’t seem to want to speak with us. Thanks for reenacting your award winning squeal. She’s good, but she can’t beat the manwho called for Mr. Bean last week!
Taylor Swift …Made some time for L&R this morning where the questions moves quickly from her new single, Should’ve Said No, to her new beau, Joe Jonas. Taylor says, “He’s an amazing guy and any girl would be lucky to date him”. Nice try T, we see right through that answer. She recapped her weekend show here and told us it was the ‘greatest show in the history of shows’.
Julianne Hough waltzed her way on to our broadcast. She spent most of her time, hugging, signing autographs, taking pictures with fans, and talking to local media. She did have some time to talk to us about what she likes to do in her ‘spare’ time. What a littledaredevil – powerboats, water skiing, and skydiving – and that’s just last week! Julianne is on tour with Brad Paisley this summer and will roll into the area on August 23rd at The First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre.
Jessica Simpson Part 1 …the beautiful and talented country singer joined Ray in the studio this morning to talk about all that our listeners had to ask. She shared her memories of Country Thunder, her interest in Football, what life is like for her dog Daisy, and her fear of being strip searched at the airport. Her new CD is out 9/9 and is called Do You Know. Check out her podcast at Us99.com. We even got a call from Bears kicker Robbie Gould saying he would trade a day in his life for her life.
Brian Urlacher
We found out the Bears Pro Bowl Linebacker is a listener every morning to the show! We couldn’t believe he always listening but has never called. Come on Brian, you’re welcome anytime! He talked about his contract situation, the new bone in his neck, and the Brett Farve debacle in Green Bay. Brian doesn’t care where Brett goes, as long as he can still hit him.
Keith Anderson is celebrating the release of his brand new CD, “C’MON”, which hits the stores today. Thanks to Keith for joining us in studio this morning to talk about anything and everything. Be sure to visit Keith tonight at the Best Buy in Orland Park starting at 7pm. And don’t forget to buy his cd!!
THE DOMINATOR …Many of our listeners are confident that Dom will be able to get a hit during his debut game with the Joliet Jackhammers on Sunday. Lisa Dent, however, fears he’ll get beaned. Watch his pretty face(at least for now) at the game, 5p Sunday. Get your tickets and raise money for Autism research by calling 815 726 ball or jackhammerbaseball.com
Blake Shelton …said he’d be happy to give Lisa Dent one of his pigs while Mr. Bean is missing. Catch Blake over at the Boone County Fair next weekend. We’ll see if his girlfriend Miranda, or his bandmates for that matter, will allow the swine on the bus.
