Trish Biondo is celebrating 22 years with US*99.5!
Trish has been with the station since 1986. She has held the titles of Research Director, Promotion Director and she was Music Director for 13 years. Trish was also named Music Director of the Year by her peers in the industry. It is her connections with Nashville and special friendships with those in the country music industry that make her Nashville Hotline feature a favorite of US99.5 listeners.
Trish joined JD & The Katman on the air in March of 1990 and co-hosted mornings until September of 2003 when she reduced her role so that she could stay home and do the ultimate full time job...Mother. From her home, Trish continued to do one of the most popular features on the morning show, her "Nashville Hotline."
Trish was delighted when asked to step into the role of middays. Her personality, legacy in the market and passion for country radio made her the perfect pick!
A Southwest side native, Trish graduated from Mother McAuley High School and earned a Bachelors Degree in Communication at Loyola University. She earned an Elementary Teaching Certificate and her Masters Degreee in Education from St. Xavier University. Before landing her job at US*99.5, she did stints at ABC-TV, WGN, Q101, and MTM Records in Nashville.
Trish also taught part time for several years in the radio department at Columbia College. Many of her students have gone on to successful careers in radio.
Trish married Chuck in November of 2000. The two of them met at a US*99.5 Private Performance Concert at Hawthorne Race Course in 1998. They have a four year old daughter and two year old son.
The Chicago Fire Department is a group near and dear to her heart thanks to her father and both of her brothers! Trish, fortunately takes after her mom, and prefers running out of burning buildings instead of running into them. So, she opted for a career in radio instead!
